• Must have a minimum 2 years work experience.
• Must have concentration / interest in power systems (15kV and below - with some 25kV)
• Job duties will include designing switchgear for heavy industrial customers (mining, pulp and paper, oil and gas)
• Overall power systems knowledge a benefit, however, internal design of switchgear and its interconnections will be the majority of the duties.
• Must have an attention for detail, and accuracy with prints - good organization of designs for future reference is required.
• Must be able to communicate schedule/requirements with design technologist and other departments fluidly.
• Must use practical efficient design principles to expediently finish projects.
• Must enjoy managing many small projects - rather than one large project.
• Will work directly under P.Eng, or independently if experience warrants independent work.
• Must be able to work in a multidisciplinary manufacturning environment in which customer satisfaction is first priority.
